After finishing Battle Tendency‘s fabulous take on 1938, I gradually make my way through Stardust Crusaders and its silly/incredibly dark setting of 1988.

I read this awesome comic that isn’t even all that new. Box Office Poison:Color Comics #1.

When it came out, it was printed in B&W. But this reprint adds color to the original first story. Having looked up the original pages, I can say I do not feel ANY sympathy for this girl AT ALL.

Anyway, I also read Monstress #9. Things’re heating up on all this water.

Awesome issue. But I’m a little biased since I’m a sucker for pirate ships, colorful crew members, and straight up (no fuckin’ around) followers of Old Gods.

…granted that is a ‘mermaid.. um, Goddess.. chick..er.. Queen..’.. uh. I don’t really recall who or what that is supposed to be. Either its a new character who is gonna be this arc’s antagonist, or a recurring one that finally gets their first onscreen appearance in the story.

Wikipedia will help me out, I’m sure of it.
